Sorry is known as the game of "sweet revenge," since players can send each other's pawns back to the starting line, thus forcing one another to lose ground and begin all over again. What do the Sorry cards mean? The follow is a list of the actions associated with each Sorry card during game play: 1 - Starts a pawn out or moves pawn forward 1 space. Whether you move or cannot move, draw again and move accordingly. Using this card to start a pawn is against the Sorry rules.
The instructions do state that you can part of the 7 to get a pawn Home but that you must be able to use the balance of the move for another pawn. You have the option with this card to forfeit your move if you do not want to switch places with someone else or you cannot move forward 11 spaces. Using this card towards any pawn that is not on the open track Start, Safety Zone or Home is against the Sorry rules.
If while switching with another player landed you on a triangle at the beginning of another player's slide, you may slide to the end! This bumps that opponent's pawn back to its Start. If there is no pawn on your Start or no opponent's pawn on any space you can move to, you forfeit your move.

Only you may enter your Safety Zone. All normal rules apply. That pawn would be able to reenter the safety zone on a subsequent turn. Both a 1 and a 2 move the pawn onto the outer starting circle, but a 2 card allows the player to draw a second move card. Remember, two pawns may never occupy the same space, even the outer starting circle. Draw again, even if you could not move a pawn.
If a 7 is used to move on pawn home, the remainder of the movement total must be used exactly by another pawn or it is not a legal move. Note, you do not have to switch positions if there is no other legal play.
This is the exception to the aforementioned rule. Remember to slide and bump if your switch lands you on the starting triangle of a Safety Zone. Miscellaneous Odd Rules: The 4 and 10 cards move you backwards.
If you are able to move a pawn backwards at least two spaces past the start zone, you may move your pawn into your own Home zone without moving all the way around the board on another turn.
